Happy new month guys!
Happy new month guys!
We're actually in the last month of the year, wow. I say this pretty much at the start of every month but time really flies. It's kind of scary you know? Time really waits for no one.
When December comes around it's very tempting to laze around and not want to do much. Sometimes, I have this mentality that I'll just wait for January to come so I can start afresh. I'm trying to challenge myself this month and not slip into 'lazy mode.' There's still time to achieve some things, no need to wait until January. Having said that, here are some of my goals for the month:
Take Each Day As It Comes// I really want to slow down and not overthink so much this month. I tend to overthink things and it really stresses me out. This month, I aim to not stress about things that are beyond my control. I intend on doing this by reminding myself of the Bible verse which says "Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"- Matthew 6:27

Work On The Blog// I've had my current blog theme for just a little over two years. While I really like it, there are a couple of features that I would love to implement on the blog but are not supported by my current theme. So, I plan on finding the right theme that goes with my vision on how the blog should look. I want it to look good but more importantly, it should make my site more convenient to browse. I also intend on changing the header and some other things. I'm not necessarily implementing these changes this month but I want to take my time and plan everything properly.
Eat Healthily// I know, I know. Who makes that sort of goal in December? It's the holiday season after all right? My eating habits in November were so poor. Like, so poor. It's left me feeling very meh and I don't like it at all. Have I picked the worst time to get back into the swing of things? Maybe. But I always enjoy a challenge so I'm definitely giving it a go.
Learn A Few Vegan Recipes// As I mentioned last week, I've been toying with the idea of veganism. It'll be great to learn a few easy but yummy vegan recipes to help me kickstart this journey.
Be More Selfless// Not saying that I'm currently selfish or anything, at least I hope I'm not.I would just like to be more selfless. To give my time to others, my resources, anything at all that I can give. To be kinder to everyone, even to people I might feel don't deserve my kindness. If there's any season to be more selfless, I feel like this is it.

DeleteThese are some great goals, and I could definitely work on some of those myself (or really all of them! haha). I stress out a lot about things I can't control and I notice that it ends up effecting my productivity and my relationship with others, which is terrible. Will have to remind myself not to using that same bible verse :) Thank you for sharing!

DeleteI totally relate to the eating thing. It's been all over the place for me so I think it's about time to be a bit more conscious about that; doesn't necessarily mean missing out on the holiday treats and festive meals tho! And the first point got me so good. Thanks for the reminder. <3
