Hey everyone, how's your weekend going? By the time this post goes up, I'll be on my way to the Lake District for a day trip with my family. I've heard so much about the area and I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully, I'll blog about the trip too.
God has special things in store for us all.
Hey everyone, how's your weekend going? By the time this post goes up, I'll be on my way to the Lake District for a day trip with my family. I've heard so much about the area and I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully, I'll blog about the trip too.
There are a lot of great tips on how to get through bad days, I even have one on the blog which you can check here. These tips are great and they actually work. But you know sometimes in our lives, things happen that even the yummiest ice cream or funniest Netflix show cannot solve. For example, the day after my birthday, the medical school that I really wanted to go to rejected me. That really crushed me and I was sad throughout the following week. I find that when things are really awry and I start to worry (this wasn't even an intentional rhyme, gosh I'm so cool) taking everything to God always makes me feel better. Now I'm not saying you should only involve God when things are really bad, not at all. What I mean is that even in the worst situations God is with you and He can still get you through. When I'm really anxious or sad, I like to read particular verses in the Bible and they never fail to comfort me. So I decided to share them just in case anyone needs any encouragement.
The one about worrying
And even if you're not a Christian or you're not religious, I believe that these verses are still helpful and you can relate to them.
"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
My favourite Bible verse.
So, there you have it. On days when I'm feeling super discouraged or upset about something, I read these (and many others) and they usually make me feel better. Which one of them did you like the most? Have a great weekend. xx

DeleteFor I know the plans that I have for you, saith the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".
ReplyDeleteI usually find comfort in this verse on days that I'm feeling really low.
That's my favourite Bible verse! It's very comforting. Thanks for reading Shola. xx
DeleteI'm notorious for letting worry get to me - I end up working myself up over silly things I don't actually end up doing anything to help the situation! I love the quote about not being able to add time to your day by worrying - so true!
ReplyDeleteSinéad xo Fabuleuse Du Jour
I tend to worry a lot and that quote helps to reel me back in! Thanks for reading Sinead :)

DeleteBeautiful post. I do tend to let stress get the better of me, but I am working on that. There are things you can control and things that are out of your reach.

Exactly, there are some things that are out of your reach. These verses always remind me of that. Thanks for reading Georgiana :)

DeleteGreat bible verses! I think worry seems a bit a struggle for me. It's human nature to worry but not dwell on it for too long.
