Life Lately: Fall Update

Hi guys (in Bobriskky's voice), happy new month! I know I say this at the start of every month but how time flies. Cant believe we're almost at the end of the year, we thank God. I decided to do a life lately post as I haven't done one since the summer edition. Just want to let you all know what I've been up to!

So first things first, since the new school year started life has been so hectic. I had to apply to my uni choices in October, write a personal statement to go with my applications (who knew writing about yourself in 4000 characters was so difficult? I had almost ten drafts till I was finally ready.) and also prepare for an exam that I had coming up. I had to juggle all this with regular schoolwork and lots of tests. Really not a surprise that I didn't have any time for the blog.

So when half term rolled around, I was so relieved. My uni application has been sent in and everything has slowed down. I decided to go shopping with my friends Nida and Maram, everyone knows retail therapy is the best. I ended up only getting one thing: a mustard jumper (which I can't wait to style) but it was so much fun and very relaxing.

This has been my uniform since the beginning of Fall.
A jumper with jeans and a pair of boots/sneakers.
Tres comfortable.

Nida and I.

Chloe's new collection is beautiful.

Maram and I.

I've never really liked taking pictures of myself which is quite ironic as I'm a blogger, but lately I've been making a conscious effort to take more pictures. Just for memories sake, so I can always have a reminder of this time of my life. Also, I've decided to take more pictures of my surroundings. I think we should all do this, where you live now might not be where you'll always live and pictures are a great way to hold on to the memory of a place. My sixth form is in the heart of the city centre and so while other people enjoy coming to the city, my friends and I don't. We're used to it. But we've decided to start taking more pictures of our surroundings, just for memories sake. The pictures below were taken by Maram.

This is the popular Gay Village on Canal Street.
It's also the shortcut we take to our favourite fast food place.

You don't know the number of times I've battled
pigeons on this road lol (I'm scared of birds generally).
Lastly, Maram introduced me to this Turkish series called Kara Sevda. She's obsessed with Turkey and encouraged me to watch it, it's amazing. At first, I thought the story was so cliche but now it's grown on me and I love it. It's made me fall in love with Turkey, I went to Istanbul when I was 13 and now I really want to go again. The series is in Turkish but I watch it with English subtitles if you're into series like I am you should watch it too. Each episode is 2 and a half hours long though lol!

And so guys, this is really what I've been up to. School, gym, Kara Sevda and repeat. Here's to a wonderful new month filled with happiness, the accomplishment of goals and every other wonderful thing. What have you been up to lately? xx

  1. Awww, I liked catching up on this. Uni applications can be stressful! Pele. I hear Turkey is a great place and it'll be good to go someday. I'm also consciously making an effort to take photos of myself and my environment. Good to know you're fine.
