The Art Of Making Other People Feel Good

"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." - Dalai Lama

Hello, hello guys. Long time no blog post. I don't even have an excuse because I was on half term for 11 days so I had enough time to blog if I wanted to....I didn't want to lmao. What I'm about to talk about just came randomly to me on Monday when I was on my way to school.
Everybody wants to feel good about themselves and if you can make another person's day why not? Is it just me or are people getting crueller (actually had to Google to check if it's crueller or more cruel. Apparently both are correct)  every day? Obviously not everyone but you get what I mean. Especially now in the days of social media, some people derive joy from tearing others down. Why make another person feel bad about themselves? Why not the opposite? Why don't you make someone's day?
This picture doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about.
I just think it's pretty.
A few weeks ago, I was walking to my school when this guy that was in a passing bus yelled 'you look gorgeous/beautiful' (can't remember which) at me. I didn't even get to say thank you but it made me smile. And best believe for the rest of that day I was feeling like Naomi Campbell (looool). I'll probably never see that guy again, I doubt I can even recognise him if I see him but he made my day. He made me feel good about myself and anytime I remember it, I smile again. Don't you want to have that effect on people?

It doesn't even have to be about looks. There's a good side in everyone. Why not compliment someone about something that they're great at. Personally, I love it when I can make another person feel good/loved/appreciated, it warms my heart. I'm sure it warms your hearts too. And saying something nice to someone has a multiplier effect. You make someone feel good, they make another person feel good and it just goes on and on and on. How cool is that?

Anyways, I guess the summary of all my rambling is that we should be kind to each other and if there is an opportunity to make someone feel good why don't you seize the opportunity just like how people seize bae (there goes my failed attempt at humour) . Give out genuine compliments. When someone performs a task excellently, let them know. If not so excellently, still encourage them. You like what someone is wearing, why not tell them? It's actually not by force to do all these things and sometimes you're not even in the mood to be kind to anybody but we should strive ,strive, strive.  Enjoy the rest of your week guys. xx

  1. You are right, Aina. We should strive, strive and strive to be kind and nice. Funny, I scheduled a post on being nice for next week. Enjoy the rest of your week too.

  2. Hey there,
I agree with you. Being kind and making people happy is actually very important and would definitely make the whole world better.
    Have a great week girl

  3. You have such a kind spirit! I love it!

  4. I love this! having a good spirit and vibe is so so important.

  5. Sincerely it's quite sad. In my uni days here in Nigeria, girls would trash talk you just because you dress better just to make you feel bad and themselves better. It's so sad really that people find it so easy to emit negative comments all in the name of beef. Nice post

  6. So true; Love and kindness go a long way; thanks for sharing

I read and appreciate every single comment. I'll definitely check out your blog. ❤
